ISLAMABAD: Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, with very cold weather expected in north Balochistan and the upper parts of the country, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met).
In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, light rainfall is expected over the hills. During the night and early morning hours, fog is likely in plain areas of Punjab.
Weather yesterday
Northeast Punjab, Kashmir, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and north Balochistan experienced rain/snowfall. Other parts of the country experienced cold and dry weather.

Air quality
The air quality in Lahore is 155 US AQI; in Bahawalpur, it is 178, 92 in Muridke, 89 in Mangla and 164 in Rawalpindi. In Sindh, the air quality in Karachi is 215 US AQI, and 214 in Mirpur Khas while Islamabad’s air quality stands at 119. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the air quality in Peshawar is 174.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (MET), a maximum of 9 degrees Celsius (°C) temperature was recorded in Islamabad, 11°C in Lahore, 18°C in Karachi, 10°C in Peshawar, -2.5°C in Quetta, and 5°C in Gilgit.
