Weather Update: Cold, Dry Weather to Prevail Across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD:  The Met Office has forecast predominantly cold and arid conditions across most regions of the country over the next twelve hours.

Persistent dense fog and smog are expected in Islamabad, the plains areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh. Consequently, these areas are likely to experience very cold weather due to the presence of dense fog.

This morning’s temperature readings in major cities are as follows: Islamabad at three degrees Celsius, Lahore and Peshawar at five degrees Celsius, Karachi at thirteen degrees Celsius, Quetta at minus-one degree Celsius, Gilgit at minus-four degrees Celsius, Murree at one degree Celsius, and Muzaffarabad at two degrees Celsius.

In the weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Srinagar, Pulwama, Shopian, and Baramula are expected to have very cold and dry weather, while Leh and Anantnag are forecast to be partly cloudy and very cold. Jammu, on the other hand, is expected to experience cold temperatures along with dense fog.

This morning’s temperature readings in the region are as follows: Srinagar, Anantnag, and Shopian at minus-three degrees Celsius, Jammu at five degrees Celsius, Leh at minus-twelve degrees Celsius, and Pulwama and Baramula at minus-four degrees Celsius.
