Weather Update: Cold, Dry Weather Expected in Most Parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Expect predominantly cold and dry weather across most parts of the country in the next 12 hours, with notably colder conditions anticipated in the northern regions and northern Balochistan.

Dense fog or smog is likely to persist across the plains of Punjab, with similar conditions expected in the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh during the night and morning hours. Frost may appear in select areas of the Pothohar region and Kashmir during the morning.

Morning temperatures in major cities were as follows: Islamabad and Murree at five degrees Celsius, Lahore at eleven, Karachi at seventeen, Peshawar at six, Quetta at two, and Gilgit and Muzaffarabad at four degrees Celsius.

The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates very cold and dry conditions in Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. Srinagar and Leh are expected to be cold and partly cloudy, while Jammu may experience cold, dry weather with dense fog.

Recorded morning temperatures were as follows: Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramulla at minus two degrees Celsius, Shopian and Anantnag at minus one, Jammu at nine, and Leh at minus six degrees Celsius.
