ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast dry and cold weather in most parts of the country, while very cold in north Balochistan and upper parts and north Balochistan during the next 24 hours.
Foggy weather
Dense fog is likely to occur in plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Sindh, and Punjab. Frost is expected in the Pothohar region during morning hours.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.
Air quality
The air quality in Lahore is 246 US AQI; in Bahawalpur, it is 193, 176 in Muridke, and 157 in Rawalpindi. In Sindh, the air quality in Karachi is 217 US AQI,206 in Mirpur Khas, while Islamabad’s air quality stands at 118. In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, air quality is 252 in Peshawar and 67 in Abbottabad.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (MET), a maximum of 6 degrees Celsius (°C) temperature was recorded in Islamabad, 6°C in Lahore, 13°C in Karachi, and 1.5°C in Peshawar, -2 °C in Quetta and -3.5°C in Gilgit.

Today’s Recorded Lowest Minimum Temperatures (°C): Leh -15, Astore -11, Skardu, Kalam, Gupis -08, Kalat, Ziarat, Hunza -06, Parachinar, Bagrote -05 and Dir -04.
