RAWALPINDI: China’s Vice Premier He Lifeng held a meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on Monday and discussed matters of mutual interest and defence cooperation.
During the meeting, both reiterated the desire to further enhance and strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and China in all fields, the military media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
Chinese vice premier is on a three-day visit to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). A special ceremony was organized to celebrate the successes and acheivsments of the mega-project.
Chinese vice premier conferred with Hilal-i-Pakistan
Earlier, President Dr. Arif Alvi conferred Pakistan’s second-highest civil award, Hilal-i-Pakistan on Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng during an investiture ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadar in Islamabad on Monday.
The award was given to the Chinese visiting dignitary to honour his important role in the strengthening of bilateral relations between Pakistan and China.
