ISLAMABAD: The government coalition has decided to file a disqualification reference against ‘PTI’s’ Deputy Chairman Senate.

Sources said that the ruling alliance in the centre has decided to ‘punish’ Mirza Muhammad Afridi for political, malicious fraud, and preparations have been started to file a disqualification reference against him. According to the sources, Mirza Afridi has not yet submitted the declaration of leaving the PML-N in the Election Commission, so contesting the election from another party without leaving the party will be justified in the disqualification reference against him.

Afridi joined PTI without leaving PML-N

It should be noted that Mirza Muhammad Afridi’s joining PTI without leaving PML-N will be made a basis, while the proposal to approach the Election Commission against him is also under consideration.

The Deputy Chairman Senate, Mirza Muhammad Afridi, joined the PML-N after winning the Senate election as an independent, but he contested the election of the Deputy Chairman on the PTI platform and was successful with the support of the then ruling party. The coalition parties have also proposed approaching the Election Commission on this issue.
