JERUSALEM: Israel’s military announced on Sunday that a coalition comprising Israel, the United States, Britain, France, and other allies collaborated for the first time to counter Iran’s unprecedented attack. The attack involved a wave of missiles and drones launched by Iran against Israel overnight from Saturday to Sunday, marking the first direct assault on its arch enemy.

According to Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, a military spokesman, “Together we thwarted Iran’s attack… This was the first time that such a coalition worked together against the threat of Iran.”

Hagari highlighted the severity of the threat, noting that Iran launched over 350 threats including ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, rockets, and suicide drones towards Israel and potentially other countries in the region.

Tehran’s assault was reportedly in retaliation for a recent air strike, widely attributed to Israel, that destroyed Iran’s consular building in Syria’s capital earlier this month.

Separately, Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz emphasized the need for action, stating that he urged his British and French counterparts to take decisive measures against Iran.
