ISLAMABAD/CHOLISTAN: Syed Mohsin Reza Naqvi, Chief Minister of Punjab has ordered best possible arrangements for the 18th world Cholistan Jeep Rally starting today.
The event will continue till February 12. Naqvi called for foolproof security measures for the participants and spectators of the jeep rally.
He reiterated that overcharging in local hotels should be addressed during this event, and efforts should be made for launching international and national campaigns for the publicity of this event.
It is pertinent to note that citizens-friendly programmes could be presented at Derawar Fort, whereas mobile towers of all phone companies have been installed to ensure signal availability in Cholistan.
Jeep rally
For those who enjoy the jeep rally camping, Derawar Fort could host Food Street, Fireworks, Musical Night, Camel Dance, Javelin, and many more events.
While briefing the CM about the organization of the jeep rally, Commissioner Bahawalpur said five categories have been introduced for the first time in Jeep Rally.
He told the Naqvi that almost half a million citizens are expected to arrive during the jeep rally. To maintain traffic in Cholistan in this regard, alternative roads and routes have been constructed and expanded.
