ISLAMABAD: A video showing Chief Minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur giving away cash to party workers has gone viral on social media, just hours before the party postponed its Islamabad rally.

The event, earlier scheduled for today at Islamabad’s Tarnol, will now be held on September 8. The party delayed the gathering after the abrupt cancellation of the rally’s permit by local authorities, leading to road closures towards Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

PTI leaders had vowed to go ahead with the planned rally, but overnight blockades on highways and major routes forced a change in plans.

The situation also prompted the closure of schools in Islamabad on Thursday. Amid this, PTI announced it would hold the rally on September 8 upon receiving a new No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the local administration.

The viral video shows Gandapur giving away cash among party workers and rescue personnel, with PTI leader Shibli Faraz also present. The video has drawn mixed reactions with people speculating on the timing and motive behind the cash distribution.
