QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo on Saturday expressed gratitude to all Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs), coalition partners, opposition members, and bureaucracy for their extending support to his government during challenging times in the province.
Bizenjo emphasized that their collective efforts showcased the true spirit of democracy, allowing them to overcome various hurdles, including floods and governance obstacles. Despite economic difficulties, he said, the government managed to ensure development in every part of Balochistan, demonstrating their commitment to progress.
Uplift Projects in Balochistan
Counted his feats, Chief Minister Bizenjo highlighted in a tweet that gender equality was promoted and the province’s infrastructure was enhanced within a span of less than two years. The administration strived to provide healthcare and educational facilities while fostering good governance.
Among the achievements were utilizing the province’s mineral resources to boost the economy and eliminating unnecessary checkpoints to protect people’s dignity and employment opportunities. The Chief Minister pointed out practical support extended to farmers and the Reko-diq settlement, facilitating international capital inflow and contributing to the agricultural sector.
Chief Minister Bizenjo further went on to say that their government for conducting transparent and peaceful local body elections, introducing health cards, initiating public transport services, and revitalizing sports in the province. The establishment of new universities, higher grants for existing universities, girls’ cadet colleges, job creation, and the regularization of employees were also part of their accomplishments.
He mentioned the digitization of development schemes, the introduction of e-tendering for transparent development projects, the green tractor scheme, and consistent advocacy for the province’s interests at the federal level.
