Chinese Military to Conduct Joint Exercise with Regional Partners in Guangdong

BEIJING: The Chinese military is set to conduct a collaborative exercise with the armed forces of Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam in Guangdong Province, south China, in the latter half of November, as announced by the Ministry of National Defense on Sunday.

The exercise will revolve around themes of counter-terrorism and the preservation of maritime safety, featuring coordinated live drills against terrorism and piracy, as outlined by the ministry.

The primary objectives of the joint endeavor are to bolster the participants’ capabilities in urban anti-terrorism, maritime anti-terrorism, and anti-piracy operations.
