RIYADH: Chinese business professionals have expressed hope that events like the Arab-China Business Conference will help further strengthen economic relations between China and the Arab world, Arab media reported on Sunday.
Chinese delegates urged Chinese firms to explore opportunities in the Middle East especially in Saudi Arabia, as Riyadh is rapidly transforming into an economic center.

Lin Shunjie, chairman of China International Exhibition Center Group said that his trip to Saudi Arabia had opened doors of new opportunities between the Arab world and Beijing. He told Arab News, the trade volume between the Arab world and Beijing is gradually increasing. He added strategies should be made to “encourage Chinese firms to make more and more investments in the region, especially in Saudi Arabia.” He called on both sides to enhance cooperation to improve the world supply chain as Saudi Arabia, China, and other Arab nations are key global countries. The two-day conference aims to bring the Arab world and China closer by displaying investment opportunities in the region and acts as a forum to support members of the business communities from the two sides.
