Chinese Companies Want to Import Meat, Chili, And Other Products from Pakistan: Officials

BEIJING: Many Chinese companies want to import chili, meat, and other products from Pakistan and are ready to establish their industrial units there, said Ghulam Qadir, the Commercial Counselor of the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing.

At the first International Food and Agriculture Exhibition in Karachi, he leads a delegation of 110 Chinese representatives from Beijing and surrounding areas. The Chengdu, Shanghai, and Guangzhou Pakistani consulates also led Chinese companies to participate.

According to Ghulam Qadir, this event is being organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), and the majority of Chinese associations for grains and fisheries are taking part in the expo following the signing of the protocols for meat, chili, and other items.

He said in an interview, “This year’s theme of the exhibition is Growing a Sustainable Future, and we hope that the expo will bring international and local communities together to generate a hope for building a common future.”

According to him, business-to-business (B2B) discussions with Chinese delegations have taken place, and they are happy to explore new opportunities and form amicable strategic relationships. He expressed his belief that the exhibition will provide Pakistani and Chinese industry leaders with an excellent venue to present their goods and services to prospective clients.
