ISLAMABAD: Regarding the conflict in Ukraine, China has “neither stood by idly nor thrown fuel on the fire” and still continues to call for dialogue and peace, top diplomat Wang Yi stated at the Munich Security Conference in Germany on Saturday.
Wang, who is the Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, stated that he would suggest that everybody should start to think calmly, especially friends in Europe, about what kind of efforts we can make to stop this war.
China’s top diplomat says certain forces against dialogue to succeed
Wang added that it seemed there were certain forces that did not want dialogue to succeed, or for the war to end soon.
He added that China would set out its position on settling the Ukraine crisis in the form of a document that will state all countries’ territorial integrity must be respected.
