HONG KONG: China’s SenseTime on Monday unveiled an artificial intelligence (AI) powered chatbot called “SenseChat”, which it demonstrated performing tasks such as writing emails and a children’s story upon being prompted.
The AI-based bot is based off the company’s big AI model SenseNova, said its Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Xu Li.
At a media event, Xu demonstrated the abilities and features of SenseNova and SenseChat, developed with the company’s access to vast troves of data and deep computing power. Xu also showcased how the chatbot could help with writing computer code, translate layman-level questions in English or Chinese into a workable product.
Hike in SenseTime’s share
SenseTime’s share rose to two-month high amid speculations that China’s most valuable specialist AI firm was coming up with a challenger to artificial intelligence phenomenon ChatGPT.
