BEIJING: China on Friday welcomed the agreement reached between Syria and Saudi Arabia on reopening their embassies in each other countries.
Mao Ning, a Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, said in her regular press briefing that Syria’s return to the Arab family would assist in realizing solidarity and revitalization of Arab countries.
She added that China firmly supports Arab countries in strengthening coordination, solidarity, and strategic independence, and it supports joint efforts to promote peace, stability, and development in the region.
Media reports agreement
According to some media reports, the embassies of the two Muslim countries are expected to resume services in late April.
