China to Host Major Services Trade Fair in Sept

BEIJING: The China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), one of the world’s biggest and most comprehensive trade fairs, will be held this year from September 2 to September 6 in Beijing.

The expo will take place in the China National Convention Centre and Shougang Park, covering a 155,000 square meter display space, according to the press conference conducted on Sunday.

The 2023 CIFTIS is anticipated to have 202 unique activities, including forums, negotiations, and summits, with the theme “openness leads development, cooperation creates a win-win future.” According to Zhou Ling, deputy director of Beijing’s international service trade centre, the forthcoming expo will include various subjects, including telecommunications, information, financial, health and sanitation, and environmental services.

Seventy-five countries and international organizations have already indicated that they will participate. More than 1,800 businesses are preparing to participate in offline and online exhibitions, and more than 70 notable businesses and organizations are ready to present their achievements.
