BEIJING: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has stated that China is ready to collaborate with Pakistan to advance the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and assist Pakistan’s sustainable development.
Wang, also a CPC Central Committee’s Political Bureau member, talked with Pakistan’s foreign minister via telephone and stated that the two countries “iron-clad friendship” has withstood the test of time and is unbreakable, according to Xinhua.
China will, as always, firmly support Pakistan in defending its national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity and firmly support Pakistan in upholding unity and stability. China supports Pakistan in realizing revitalization and development and taking a more significant and active part in international and regional affairs, Wang said.
For his part, Bilawal said the friendship between Pakistan and China has endured through the ages and is solid and vibrant. He continued, “Pakistan appreciates China’s various assistance in hard times and is ready to cooperate with China to continue helping each other, promote the upgrading of the CPEC, construct demonstration projects of the Belt and Road cooperation, and raise the bilateral friendship to higher levels.” —APP
