China Slaps Sanctions on US Firms Over Weapons Sales to Taiwan

BEIJING:  China’s foreign ministry announced on Thursday that it has imposed sanctions on three U.S. military-related companies and ten senior executives in response to U.S. arms sales to Taiwan.

The affected firms, which include Edge Autonomy Operations LLC, Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc., and Skydio Inc., will have their assets in China frozen, according to a ministry statement.

The sanctions took effect on Thursday.
