ISLAMABAD/BEIJING: China has slammed US President Joe Biden’s ‘extremely irresponsible’ remarks against Chinese President Xi Jinping, AFP reported.
In his second State of the Union address before millions of viewers, Joe Biden had warned that he would protect America against Chinese threats to its integrity and sovereignty and singled out President Xi Jinping.
In his address to House of Representatives, the US president said that he had told the Chinese president that Washington seeks “competition and not conflict.” But he said that US investments in its alliances, military and advanced technologies meant that the US was now in a more solid position in decades to challenge China and defend its interests.
