China Resumes Outbound Group Tours to Pakistan

BEIJING: China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism said on Friday that China will restart outbound group tours for its nationals to around eighty countries including Pakistan, Myanmar, Mexico, Bangladesh, etc.

It is the third batch of destinations in Beijing’s pilot program for outbound group tours.

The decision to expand the number of destinations comes as the overseas tourism industry in China has been quickly recovered during the past month.

The return of more Chinese travelers is also likely to provide a much-required boost to the global tourism industry and bring optimism into the world economy.

Pakistan-China cooperation in tourism

To enhance Pakistan-China cooperation in the tourism field, Pakistani Embassy in China launched a website namely Discover Batie, which provides information about the major tourist attractions in Pakistan and links to the official websites of leading museums, hotesl, malls and hotels.

Earlier, a Gandhara Art Exhibition was organized at Palace Museum in Beijing, which exhibited 173 artifacts come from Pakistan.

On the occassion, Consul General of Pakistan in Guangzhou Sardar Muhammad had said that it was a step to tell the Chinese brethern what Pakistan can offer.

He said that Pakistan is the topographic heaven for travellers and tourists. There are snow-covered peaks, pine trees, lakes, and waterfalls, which are particularly attractive to those who are keen on adventurous tourism.
