China-Pakistan Economy, Trade B2B Forum Organized in Shenzhen

BEIJING: As Pakistan and China are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a China-Pakistan Economy and Trade B2B Forum was organized in Shenzhen, China, on Thursday.

The forum was organized by Shenzhen Municipal Government (SMG) and the China-Pakistan Trade, Investment and Technology Cooperation Center, in which many distinguished guests, including, Coordinator to Prime Minster of Pakistan on Commerce and Industry Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Chief Executive Officer at Belt and Road Consultants Pvt Limited Muhammad Asif Noor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of China Ocean Group Industry Co., Ltd, Fu Chaoyang, and others participated in the event.

At the forum, the Pakistani representative introduced in detail the more than fifty deals inked by the governments of Pakistan and China since CPEC was launched in 2013. He highlighted bilateral cooperation in energy, trade, investment, and other sectors.

On the occasion, Chinese representatives also expressed hope to normalize this event and combine the industrial characteristics of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to cooperate with the Special Economic Zone in Pakistan in a comprehensive way.

China Invite Pakistani Entrepreneurs

At the same time, they vowed to invite Pakistani enterprises to visit China and establish a two-way cooperation mechanism, increasing the export of Pakistani products and undertaking the transfer of China’s industrial capacity.

The Pakistani delegation expressed readiness to actively cooperate with Shenzhen, voicing hope to encourage enterprises from Pakistan.
