China Extends Congratulations to President Putin on Election Victory

BEIJING: China, a key ally of Russia, has offered congratulations to President Vladimir Putin on his election victory, emphasizing the strong strategic partnership between the two nations.

Foreign ministry spokesman Lin Jian conveyed China’s felicitations during a regular press conference, highlighting the significance of China-Russia relations as comprehensive strategic cooperative partners.

With official election data showing Putin securing a record victory with 87.33 percent of votes cast, China expressed confidence in the continued advancement of bilateral relations under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Putin.

Lin underscored the longstanding friendship between China and Russia, noting the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries this year. He affirmed the commitment of both leaders to maintaining close exchanges and deepening comprehensive strategic coordination.

The spokesperson emphasized the mutual determination to promote continuous development in China-Russia relations in the new era, reflecting the shared goals and cooperation between the two nations.
