BEIJING: Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian extended congratulations to Prabowo Subianto on his victory in the Indonesian presidential election. Subianto secured the win with approximately 58 percent of the votes, according to the official announcement made by the Indonesian General Election Commission on March 20.
In a press conference held in Beijing, Lin Jian stated that Chinese President Xi Jinping had conveyed a congratulatory message to Prabowo Subianto on his electoral success. Emphasizing the longstanding friendship and geographical proximity between China and Indonesia, Lin Jian highlighted the significance of bilateral relations.
“China and Indonesia are traditional friends and neighbors,” Lin Jian remarked. “China attaches great importance to its relations with Indonesia.
