BEIJING: China has announced humanitarian aid package worth 15 million yuan (approximately $2.05 million) for Gaza on Thursday.
The China International Development Cooperation Agency’s spokesman Xu Wei said that a forthcoming emergency humanitarian aid package consisting of food and medicine for Gaza.
Expressing sorrow over the humanitarian plight caused by the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the significant civilian casualties in Gaza, China is committed to easing the crisis, Xu stated.
In addition to this new aid, China has already contributed $1 million in cash through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East and the Palestinian National Authority, Xu noted.
