ISLAMABAD: Turkish Navy Delegation headed by Chief of Staff Turkish Naval Forces Command Vice Admiral Ibrahim Ozdem KOÇER, visited Pakistan Naval Headquarters in Islamabad for the 6th Pakistan Navy Turkish Navy Expert Level Staff Talks, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release on Saturday.
Upon arrival at Naval Headquarters, the visiting dignitary was received by Vice Chief of the Pakistan Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami, ISPR stated.
Later on, the Turkish Chief of Staff called on the Pakistan Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf. Both the dignitaries discussed professional matters of common interest, ISPR stated. The visiting Admiral appreciated the Pakistan Navy’s efforts in maritime security in the region.
During the Staff Talks, wide-ranging matters related to joint operations, training and technical domains were discussed. The Turkish Admiral appreciated strong bilateral relations and discussed further opportunities for collaboration.
The visit of the Turkish Navy delegation is a reflection of the strong and long-standing relationship between the navies of the two brotherly countries.
Pakistan and Turkiye enjoy brotherly relations and the navies of both countries collaborate in various domains including joint production and upgradation of various platforms and systems.
