Chelsea Signs Ukrainian Winger Mykhailo Mudryk

ISLAMABAD/ANKARA: Chelsea signed Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk in a multi-year deal, the English Premier League club has confirmed.

Chelsea said that Mykhailo Mudryk had finalized the move from Shakhtar Donetsk to Chelsea after agreeing to personal terms with the club.

According to the APP, he also said that the Ukrainian international, who turned 22 this month, has put pen to paper on the eight-and-a-half-year contract with the Blues to seal his move to Stamford Bridge. Mudryk said that he is happy to join Chelsea.

He said that he has a massive club in a great league, and it is a beautiful project for me at this career stage. I am excited to meet new teammates, and I am looking forward to the working and learning under (manager) Graham Potter and his staff.

Mudryk scored twelve goals and made seventeen assists in forty-four matches for Shakhtar Donetsk, and he won the Ukrainian Cup in 2019.

British media said that Chelsea purchased Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk for a €70 million transfer fee plus a further €30 million in bonuses. But Chelsea has not disclosed the pieces of information about the deal. Mudryk has played eight matches for his native Ukraine.

Chelsea’s fifth signing in 2023

He is Chelsea’s fifth signing in the 2023 winter transfer window. The Blues previously acquired Ivorian forward David Datro Fofana, Portuguese forward Joao Felix, French defender Benoit Badiashile and Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos.
