Change of Guard Ceremony Marks 146th Birthday Celebrations of Allama Iqbal

LAHORE: A grand Change of Guard Ceremony was held at mausoleum of the Dr. Allama Iqbal to mark his 146th birth anniversary celebration.

The nation is celebrating the birth anniversary of Allama Iqbal, the visionary behind the concept of an independent Muslim state in the sub-continent.

At the mausoleum dedicated to the Muffakir-e-Pakistan, an impeccably dressed contingent from the Pakistan Navy assumed guard duties, relieving the Pakistan Rangers Punjab, as stated in a Pakistan Navy news release.

Commodore Sajid Hussain, the Pakistan Navy Station Commander in Lahore, presided over the event as the Chief Guest, paying heartfelt tributes to the National Poet. He laid a floral wreath at the mausoleum on behalf of Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with officers, sailors, and civilian personnel of the Pakistan Navy, offering Fateha in honor of the great Poet.

The Chief Guest also penned his reflections in the visitor book, expressing profound admiration for the distinguished Poet.

The ceremony garnered the presence of numerous civil and military dignitaries, as well as a sizable audience from the general public.
