ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani and Saudi ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki discussed issues of mutual interests, particularly further strengthening of bilateral relations and regional development.
In the meeting here on Friday, both the dignitaries emphasized maintaining strong and historical relations between the two fraternal countries.
They agreed to boost economic cooperation between the two sides further.
The Senate chairman Sadiq Sanjrani said Pakistan values its relations with Saudi Arabia.
Sanjrani thanked Saudi Arabia for extending support to Pakistan at various international forums and occasions.
Boosting issues of mutual interest
Both the dignitaries discussed to further improving existing cooperation between the two sides in the fields of trade, energy and investment.
The chairman Senate appreciated Saudi Arabia’s leadership’s role in the Islamic world and its efforts to promote regional security and stability, adding Saudi Arabia had always backed Pakistan in difficult times.
Sanjrani said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were in harmony on many regional and global issues.
Sadiq Sanjarani urged Saudi Arabia to take full advantage of vast investment opportunities in Pakistan, as the ongoing Gwadar and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects would assist in ensuring bright future of the region.
He said over two million Pakistanis serving in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were playing vital role in progress of Saudi Arabia.
He said the people of Pakistan prayed for the good health and long life of the custodians of the Haram Sharif.
Saudi ambassador said his country wanted to improve bilateral and trade relations with Pakistan further.
