Chairman NDMA Briefed on Houses Project in Baluchistan

ISLAMABAD: Syed Javid Gillani, Executive Director of Muslim Hands Pakistan, on Monday called on Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), and apprised him about the progress made in the construction of climate-friendly houses in areas of Jafarabad and Mastung in Baluchistan.

He invited the NDMA Chairman to inaugurate the newly built houses after completion in January next year. He also briefed him about the working scope of his organization in Pakistan.

Chairman NDMA appreciates housing project

Chairman NDMA appreciated Muslim Hands’ relief efforts and housing projects during the recent floods in the country. He said that the Muslim Hands actively participated in the ongoing rehabilitation phase after the natural disaster.

He stressed the need to establish a comprehensive humanitarian response model for donors and local and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for tangible and well-coordinated outcomes of the relief and rehabilitation activities.
