Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sealed an Islamabad farmhouse of PTI leader Senator Azam Swati for violating building by-laws.
The CDA said it took the action after Swati defied multiple show-cause notices. The authority said that 70 other farmhouse owners had also been served show-cause notices over violation of laws.

Non-compliance with CDA building by-laws
Capital Development Authority said that four notices were sent to Swati in the last six years over the illegal construction of a basement and other violations, adding that the final notice was sent to him on November 16. Swati was warned of action in case the illegal constructions were not demolished.
A total of four farmhouses have been sealed in the capital over non-compliance with the laws, the CDA said.

Earlier, Swati took up the matter in a standing committee of the Senate. Upon submission of the report by the Capital Development Authority, the committee found that the case was pending in a court, and subsequently excused from taking any action over it.
