Car Explosion Injures Four Iranian Guards Near Mirjaveh Border

TEHRAN: Four Iranian border guards sustained injuries in a car explosion caused near the Mirjaveh border in Iran’s southeastern Baluch-populated region. While three of the injured guards are reported to be in stable condition, one has been transferred to the provincial capital of Zahedan for further medical treatment.

According to the state news agency IRNA, the incident took place in the Shahrak area of Mirjaveh, targeting a military vehicle. Local sources have described the situation in the area as tense, prompting increased patrols by military vehicles. As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.

Attack on Police Station in Zahedan City of Iran

This incident follows a recent attack on a police station in the city of Zahedan, where two policemen lost their lives. Iranian law enforcement officials confirmed that four gunmen, armed with hand grenades, were killed during the attack.
