ISLAMABAD: The Department of Libraries, in partnership with Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), has planned to arrange a ‘Capital Book Fair’ from January 5 to January 7 in Islamabad.

Arranged at Arts Craft Village, Shakarparian, the book fair will offer a variety of books at discounted prices.

The aim of arranging this book fair is to revive the book-reading habit among the masses, especially young people, preserve our literary and cultural heritage, and bring back the culture of the book in society.

Book fair for book lovers

Book lovers, especially researchers and students from the twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi, are excited about the capital book fair to quench their love for knowledge.

While talking to APP, Professor Tahir said, “This book fair is a very needed activity to instil book reading culture in the youth, who are now more focused on electronic devices instead of books.”

Professor Tahir appreciated the step taken by the Department of Libraries to promote book culture in society and urged the literary and educational departments to keep arranging such activities regularly to attract youth towards books and strengthen their bond with the books. – APP
