OTTAWA: Main foe of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Canada’s parliament has introduced a motion of no confidence in the ruling Liberals, in the first major test of his minority government. After a debate in the House of Commons, a vote on the long-shot Conservative motion is scheduled today.
Far ahead in public opinion polls, Tory leader Pierre Poilievre has been itching for a snap poll since the leftist New Democratic Party earlier this month tore up a coalition deal with the Liberals, leaving the Trudeau administration defenseless to being toppled.
Kicking off the discussion, a combative Poilievre railed against PM Trudeau for what he said was a failure to resolve soaring costs of living, a housing crisis as well as crime.

If elected PM, he stated he would legislate “a common-sense plan to axe the tax, build the houses, fix the budget and prevent the crime.”
During an interview, PM Justin Trudeau admitted that Canadians are suffering a really tough time. He said that people are facing a lot of issues and he is taking measures to overcome it.
