ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interim Minister for Human Rights, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, has said that Canada has uncovered the ugly side of India, portraying it as an extremist and racist nation that has targeted the Sikh community worldwide.

As per details, Mushaal Hussein Mullick visited Nankana Sahib on Friday to express solidarity with the Sikh community.

During her visit, Mushaal Mullick paid homage to Baba Guru Nanak, an icon of peace, love, and brotherhood, whose teachings have left an indelible mark. “I have come to Gurdwara Janam Asthan to express solidarity with the Sikhs,” she declared.

Expressing her condemnation of the recent killing of Sardar Hardeep Singh in Canada, the minister highlighted that India was grappling with various freedom movements, including the Khalistan movement.

She did not shy away from addressing the Jarranwala tragedy, attributing it to India’s intelligence agency, RAW. RAW agents were accused of orchestrating the burning of 23 churches in Jarranwala.

Reflecting on the Jarranwala tragedy, Ms. Mullick described it as a regrettable incident that had deeply moved the entire nation. She also announced the successful restoration of homes for 94 affected Christian families in Jarranwala.

The minister articulated her concerns about India’s actions in Kashmir, where she believed India had made the lives of Kashmiris miserable and violated human rights on an alarming scale. She asserted that no minority was safe in India, and places of worship of all religions faced threats and destruction.

Ms. Mullick concluded by shedding light on the deteriorating human rights situation in India, highlighting the imprisonment of Hurriyet leader Yasin Malik under dire conditions. Her visit to Nankana Sahib and her statements aimed to underscore the pressing need for global awareness of the ongoing challenges faced by minority communities in India.
