LAHORE: Bushra Bibi, the wife of ex-prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, has written a letter to interim Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi expressing her concerns that authorities may start an operation at their Zaman Park residence during the Eid ul Fitr holidays.
In her letter, she wrote that it is feared that authorities will start a raid on Zaman Park during the Eid ul Fitr holidays.
Bushra Bibi said that a plan had been made to give the wrong interpretation to the order of the Lahore High Court’s larger bench. She said that earlier an operation was conducted in Zaman Park in breach of court order.
Warning to Punjab authorities
Bushra warned if such kind of action is taken again by the provincial authorities, then she would move to the superior courts.
Earlier in March, the Lahore High Court’s (LHC) Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh had restrained the police officers from continuing the Zaman Park operation till the Islamabad High Court’s decision on the non-bailable arrest warrant of the PTI chief, Imran Khan.
