KARACHI: Renowned Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has spoken out about her stance to defend her former husband, Iqbal Ansari, against criticism.
In a recent interview on a private TV channel’s morning show, where Bushra was also joined by her daughter, she discussed multiple aspects of her personal life, career, and her relationship with her ex-husband.
Bushra Ansari asserted that she will not tolerate anyone speaking against Iqbal Ansari and quickly comes to his defense if someone attempt to do so. She added that people often make negative comments about her ex-husband, labelling him as a harsh husband, and attributing their divorce to these perceptions.
“I feel it’s my moral duty to stop people from saying anything against my former husband. If someone attempts to say something negative about him in my presence, I promptly shut it down,” Bushra Ansari said.
She said that Iqbal Ansari is the father of her daughters and has consistently been a source of support and love for them. Despite the difficulties in their marriage, she highlighted that Iqbal Ansari has never abandoned his daughters.
Bushra Ansari also spoke about the public’s tendency to make judgments and comments on social media, emphasizing that such remarks are not only unhelpful but inappropriate as well. She stressed that whatever issues existed between both of us were private, and no one had the right to speak against him.
