SOFIA: The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) has heightened political tensions by demanding the government’s resignation and advocating for a dual vote in both the Bulgarian and European Parliament.
In her harsh assessment of the government’s nine months in office, BSP leader Kornelia Ninova charged that it had no morals, had betrayed the interests of the country, had favored private interests through lobbying, and had even encouraged corruption.
Her remarks reflect the growing discontent among opposition figures and some segments of the public.
Ninova further declared that the BSP would closely monitor the activities of the Council of Ministers, promising a detailed sector-by-sector analysis soon. This underscores BSP’s emphasis on transparency and accountability.
The BSP’s demand for a two-way vote and its thorough examination of government operations demonstrate its commitment to moral governance and accountable to the people.
Bulgaria finds itself at a turning point in its political history due to these occurrences, which could bring about major changes.
