SEOUL: The BTS star Suga has started mandatory army service in South Korea, local media reported on Saturday. Suga confirmed the news via his social media account and said that he would complete his duty soon.
The star’s real name is Min Yoon-gi, is the 3rd member of the BTS band to enlist, following J-Hope and Jin. He wrote via social media account that he would faithfully complete his duty and come back. For a long time, it was rumored that the government of South Korea might permit the members of BTS to skip the military service, on the ground they had already served their nation by bringing in billions of dollars.

However, all members of the BTS announced in October that they would join the military service. Local media reported that Suga has been “ruled unfit for combat duty and will work as a social service agent.
