SEOUL, South Korea: Global K-pop sensation BTS has thrilled fans worldwide as they confirmed their return with new music in March 2026, ending a long hiatus that began in 2022.

The announcement brings an end to years of hope for their millions of fans, who have eagerly awaited news of the group’s comeback.

BigHit Music, BTS’s management agency, revealed that the group’s new album is scheduled for release on 20 March 2026, nearly four years after their last group album, Proof.

Before the official announcement, BTS shared the news directly with fans through handwritten letters. RM wrote, “I have been waiting for this moment more desperately than anyone,” while Jin said, “I greeted you all as a soloist in 2023 and 2024, but I can finally greet you as part of a team again.”

J-Hope shared his excitement: “Finally, it’s the year that we will all be together with you!!” Jungkook added a heartfelt note, asking fans to support them in the year ahead.

The group also reunited on Weverse, a South Korean web platform, to count down to the New Year, marking their first full appearance together in some time.

For those unfamiliar, BTS had paused group activities to complete their mandatory military service, with all members finishing their duties by June 2025.

During the hiatus, several members released solo projects, maintaining their connection with fans worldwide.

Industry analysts predict that the upcoming album could be one of the biggest global K-pop releases of 2026, with fans already speculating on possible collaborations, music videos, and world tour plans.

BTS’s return is also expected to boost album sales, streaming numbers, and international promotions, reinforcing their status as one of the most influential music acts in the world.

The group’s comeback is not just a musical event but a cultural moment, signaling the full return of a team that has defined a generation of K-pop and global music fans.
