BRUSSELS, Belgium: Pakistanis, Kashmiris and their sympathisers participated in a protest demonstration here on Friday against Indian attacks on Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.

The protest, held in front of the Indian Embassy, was organised by Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU), in mutual collaboration with various political, social and human rights organisations and people from different segments of the society.

Holding placards and banners with slogans against Indian aggression, participants condemned Indian attacks on the civilian population in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.

They also raised slogans against nefarious designs of the Indian government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for targeting Pakistan and Azad Kashmir and killing innocent people.

Speakers at the gathering said they had assembled to raise their voices against India’s recent brutal aggression on the nights of 7th and 8th May 8 in various areas of Azad Kashmir and Pakistan.

They said that India had committed atrocities by targeting mosques and civilian populations in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan, and had martyred innocent people, including children and women.

The Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU) Chairman, Ali Raza Syed, said, “We firmly support peace, but India attempted to impose a brutal war against the people of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.”

He urged the European Union, the United Nations, and global powers to step forward to stop India from continuing its unlawful, unethical, and oppressive actions against Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
