Brunei Organizes Recycling Day Initiative

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Brunei collected a total of 1919.2 kilograms of scrap paper in a nationwide recycling day initiative on Saturday.

According to the Department of Environment, Parks, and Recreation in the Ministry of Development, four local recycling companies cooperated in the government’s initiative, and 1919 kilograms of scrap paper, 134.3 kilograms of cardboard boxes, 417.8 kilograms of plastic bottles, 224.7 liters of cast-off cooking oil and 428 units of e-waste collected.

Waste transported to recycling companies

The collected waste was transported to recycling companies. It will be processed either domestically or exported for other recycling processes. – Xinhua/APP
