PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa transport department once again received a letter from the private operator of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service requesting payment of the outstanding due of Rs 603 million within ten days.
As the provincial government lacked the funds to pay employee wages and cover the costs of oil, power, and other maintenance, the operator warned to halt the service if payment was not made within the specified time.
It claimed that despite all of the allegations, the provincial government had not given any money to the BRT operator and that the monthly payment delays were in breach of the contract.
