LONDON: British broadcasters including the BBC and Channel 4 have started investigating the reports that comedian Russell Brand sexually assaulted four women, Western media reported on Sunday.
The comedian and actor has denied the allegations that he raped and sexually assaulted four women between 2006 and 2013.
Between 2006 and 2008, Brand worked as a radio presenter for the BBC. The BBC after the allegations on the actor said it was urgently looking into the issues. Channel 4, where Brand also worked as a presenter also launched internal investigation.

Though the alleged assaults did not take place on BBC or Channel 4 premises, the claims have raised questions for the broadcasters and the industry.
The Times quoting sources said a complaint was also made to BBC management regarding alarming display of aggression and disrespect from Brand towards women.
