British Team Satisfied with Security Arrangements at Pakistan Airports

ISLAMABAD: The UK Security Agency Department for Transport’s team on Tuesday expressed satisfaction over security arrangements at the airports in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore.

The British team, which stayed in the country for a week, returned to UK after completing security checking of the three Pakistani airports.

The Civil Aviation Authority said that the UK team reviewed security arrangements at Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi airports under the assessment programme.

CAA briefs team

Civil Aviation Authority officials briefed the British security team about the steps taken at the three airports. The team conducted an audit of security, ground handling, flight kitchen, and other departments at Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore airports.

The purpose of the trip by the British team was to make the security checks on the direct flights from the three airports to the United Kingdom more effective.

The British team was scheduled to visit Pakistan on 10 July, but after a change in the schedule, it arrived in Pakistan on May.
