The British lawmaker expressed particular appreciation for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces Asim Munir, crediting their leadership for facilitating dialogue and helping reduce tensions in the region.
Khan noted that Pakistan’s efforts played an important role in bringing both sides to the negotiating table, describing Islamabad’s engagement as a constructive step toward de-escalation.
He emphasized that such initiatives reflect Pakistan’s growing stature as a credible mediator capable of navigating complex international disputes.
According to the video shared on social media, the British MP also acknowledged the contributions of Pakistan’s broader leadership, stating that the international community remains appreciative of efforts aimed at achieving stability and peace.
His remarks come at a time when Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach is receiving increasing global recognition. Observers say Islamabad’s ability to maintain balanced relations with major global stakeholders has enabled it to act as an effective bridge in sensitive geopolitical situations.
