ISLAMABAD: The British Council has decided to reduce the examination fee to redress the concerns of students and their parents, which were reported after the release of AS and A Level examination results.
According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, the decision was taken after the Ministry of Education and Professional Training shared these concerns with the British Council to provide relief to the students and parents across the country.
Caretaker Federal Minister of Education, Madad Ali Sindhi, recently took the initiative to resolve the matter and address the distressing situation that arose following the release of the AS and A Level examination results on August 10.
Earlier, the students and their parents approached the minister for immediate action over the issue. After having a meeting with them, the minister dispatched a letter to the concerned authorities in the British Council.
Sindhi conveyed to the British Council for addressing the issues of the students and their parents.
Education Ministry on British Council Decision
Accordingly, the British Council, while having an optimistic response, decided to reduce the examination fee to alleviate the worries of parents and students. British Council’s sympathetic response reflects a collaborative commitment to the betterment of education.
The press release further maintained that the decision taken by the British Council showed a supportive commitment of the Council to the betterment of the student, and the education ministry, along with the British Council, was committed to providing the best possible educational experiences for all the desirable students.
