BRUSSELS: Russia is trying to acquire more weapons from Iran, including hundreds of ballistic missiles, in return for providing Tehran with unprecedented military and technological support, British ambassador to the UN Barbara Woodward said on Friday.
Woodward also said that since August Iran has transferred hundreds of drones – also known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) – to Russia, which has used them to kill civilians and target civilians illegally in Ukraine. Iran has denied providing planes to Moscow has denied that its forces used Iranian planes to attack Ukraine.

“Russia is now trying to get more weapons, including hundreds of ballistic missiles,” Woodward told reporters. “In return, they are providing Iran with unprecedented military and technological support.
