Bosnian War Film “Qou vadis, Aida?” Screened in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A Bosnian wartime film “Qou vadis, Aida?”, screened in Islamabad on Thursday on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Emin Cohodarevic expressing his views said the film is not only a cinematic masterpiece, but a painful reminder of the Srebrenica genocide, the worst atrocity on European soil since World War II.

He said in such festive moments it is significant to refer to the current status and perspective of the bilateral ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Pakistan.

He went on to say that relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Pakistan are special. He lauded the permanent support of Pakistan to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to preserve freedom and democracy.

The envoy said ties between Pakistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina are out of ordinary dynamic, they permanently develop and diversify.

He noted there is no single field, either cultural, defense, political, economic, or social where both countries are not able to give positive examples and good practices.

He was confident that the friendship between the people of the two countries and bilateral ties between two governments will continue to flourish.

Ambassador Emin Cohodarevic said Aida′s emotions are the heart of the story. He advised the audience to take away the feelings and questions the film raises.

He expressed gratitude to the Pakistan National Council of the Art for screening the film.
