MUMBAI, India: Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, are reportedly set to divorce after 37 years of marriage, Indian media reported.
Though the couple has kept a low profile regarding their personal life, unverified reports suggest they have decided to officially part ways.
Their marriage has reportedly encountered difficulties, with ongoing disagreements over lifestyle choices being a key factor in their decision to separate.
There are also speculations suggesting that Govinda’s “increasing closeness to a younger co-star” may have contributed to their split.
Earlier this year, Sunita disclosed that she and Govinda are living separately, with her and their children residing in a flat across from his bungalow.

Despite such revelations, she previously said, “Nobody can separate us,” emphasising her commitment to their relationship.
In a recent interview with Hindi Rush she said, “I’ve told him that in my next life, he should not be my husband. He doesn’t take holidays. I love going out, eating street food, and enjoying simple pleasures, but he is always busy with work. I don’t even recall a single instance when we went out to watch a movie together.”
Govinda and Sunita tied the knot in March 1987 but kept their marriage a secret for over a year. They disclosed their relationship after welcoming their daughter, Tina, in 1988. The couple later had a son, Yashvardhan, in 1997.
Amid ongoing speculation about their separation, fans are eagerly awaiting an official statement from the couple about their relationship status.
